Celebrate Braille in 2 Competitions for NZ School Students

With a closing date of Friday 31 August 2018 we’re running two competitions to celebrate Braille Literacy Day on 7 September.

For Primary and Intermediate aged students: Make up a name for the New Zealand Braille Literacy Kiwi Mascot and collage a picture of it (A4 size). Post the artwork to Gloria Edwards, BLENNZ, Private Bag 801, Manurewa, Auckland 2243.

For individuals or groups of Secondary School or BLENNZ Transition students: Write a jingle for the BANZAT literacy competition using one/some or all of the following themes: Braille, Literacy, Conservation or Kiwi. Email your jingle to wendy.richards@blennz.school.nz

For good resources to help you with these competitions and to learn about the prizes, read the well-structured PDF. It contains some screen reader friendly SimBraille which can be printed without having to install a SimBraille font.

We’re really looking forward to your entries.
