Braille Standards Rise

The Trans-Tasman Braille Proficiency Certificate is jointly managed by BANZAT and the Australian Braille Authority. It tests the knowledge of teachers, transcribers and users of Unified English Braille. With the completion of the 2011 examinations last October and the success of a further 19 candidates, 59 New Zealanders now hold this certificate which was first sat in 2008.
